Description

When Ottoman cuisine is mentioned, culinary art, food culture, table richness and food variety come to mind. Since the Fatih era, when Topkapi Palace was built, meals were cooked in kitchens called Matbah-ı Amire. There were units such as Has Kitchen, Ağalar Cuisine, Divan Cuisine, Helvahane, Pantry and Kalayhane affiliated to Matbah-ı Amire. In the Ottoman Empire, various tools were used according to the palace eating and drinking culture.

The dishes, which are covered with copper, brass, tile samples, and brought to the table by heating the food, have an important place among these kitchen utensils.

The patterns on the Nargül Sahan are decorated with inspiration from the patterns of a china bottle belonging to the years 1585-1595. III. This type of tiles from the Murat period is quite different from the standard floral patterns.

Nargül Sahan is produced from handmade glass and all the patterns on it are decorated by hand using 24-carat gold gilding and glass paints. Production quantity is limited to 2,000 pieces.
