PERTEVNI YAL ASURE KASESI

Description

During the Ottoman period, ashura had the title of “Palace Dessert”, and for hundreds of years in the Imperial Palaces, the ashurea cauldron boiled and cooked was shared with the public.
The most famous ashura of the palace in terms of taste is “Süzme Saray Aşure”, which was cooked by Pertevniyal Sultan, the mother of Sultan Abdülaziz, in 1870. In Pertevniyal Ashure Bowl, plant and geometric decoration motifs taken from Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Mosque were used, and the seal of Valide Sultan was applied on the cover.

The Pertevniyal Ashure Bowl is produced from handmade smoked glass with a white opal lid and the lid handle is silver plated on copper. All relief patterns are decorated by hand. Production of Pertevniyal Ashure Bowl is limited to 2000 pieces.
