The Protecting Bowl is inspired by the ancient Egyptian or Syrian glass goblet, dated to the late 13th or early 14th century, on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. There are red and green floral motifs on the Koruyan Bowl, whose entire surface is decorated with very fine gold work and rumi motifs, and rumi patterns with cobalt borders within the medallions. Eagle figures in medallions with cobalt borders in 3 rows on the body and feet symbolize the “protective spirit”.
Cleaning Suggestions: Wipe with a dry cloth.
