Description

The homeland of hookah, which is an important element of eastern culture, is India. Born in India, hookah became widespread among Arabs, especially Iranians, and later among Turks.

Use;

1. The bottle is half filled with water.
2. The bowl where the tobacco is placed is attached to the brass part.
3. The lower end of the lance is attached to its slot on the brass part. The cleaning of the brass part (ser) can be done with water. After washing, it should be thoroughly dried before use.
4. Cleaning the lance should not be done with water. The lance rots when it comes into contact with water.
5. Tobacco is placed in the nozzle and a piece of burning coal is placed on it.
6. It is ensured that the smoke comes out by breathing in short intervals from the tip of the upper part of the lance.

The rosette pattern taken from the door wings of Kastamonu Kasabaköy Mosque, which was built in 1366 during the Candaroğulları Principality period, was used on the hookah. Combining the wooden parts of the mosque with the technique of passing without using any nails and the decorations called “Pencil Job” on the wooden surfaces are the important features that distinguish the mosque from its counterparts.
