DIVAN VAZO

Description

The patterns on the Divan Vase were inspired by the illumination* detail of the Divan work belonging to the Beyazid period exhibited in the Süleymaniye Library. Divan; It is the name given to the manuscripts in which the poets of divan literature collect their poems. These works were usually given as gifts to the sultans or were written according to their wishes. Rumi, hatayi and
stylized tulip flowers were used as motifs in the title illumination in the original divan work from the Beyazid period.

The Divan Vase is made of handmade glass and all the relief patterns on it are handcrafted using 24-carat gold gilding and glass paint.

* Illumination: It is the name given to the art of decorating a manuscript or a book with gilding. Although it means gilding in Arabic, it also includes fine book decorations made with all kinds of paints. Handmade glass vase with gilded decoration.

The production of the Divan Vase is limited to 2000 pieces.
